One-on-One

There’s no overtime if the game ends in a tie.

BUG: Although both the manual and company ads at the time claim the developer (Eric Hammond) incorporated each player’s moves and characteristics, according to this article, both players actually have the same moves.  It also states Hammond was a “young, undisciplined developer” but this article from the February 27th, 1984 issue of InfoWorld describes him as a veteran programmer and game designer.

BUG: When playing against the computer, it’s possible to tie up your opponent after they grab a rebound, preventing them from getting past the free throw line and resulting in a 24-second shot clock violation.  There’s an area on either side of the free throw line where if you stand still when the opponent is next to you, they won’t move away (see video).  {Arnie Katz}
