GHOST MANOR

BUG: The manual mentions there are 8 grains of sand in the hourglass, but there’s only 6, not including completely empty and completely full.

BUG: The manual mentions each grain of sand is worth 30 seconds of playing time, but each grain is actually worth an unequal amount of time.  The hourglass also seems to run down more slowly the more you play the game.  What exactly causes this is unknown at the moment, but playing a complete game takes 3:30 at the start (when you first turn the game on) and there are videos of complete games lasting 4 minutes, up to 4:30!  {Jeff Adkins}

BUG: Incompatible with some original “heavy” 6-switch VCS models.  The game resets upon completing the 1st screen.  {Jesse E. LaFleur}

BUG: There is a slight graphics glitch at the very top of the first screen – lines appear in the top corners (picture #1). {Scott Stilphen}

BUG: When the game ends, the manor and the title screen text sink down into the ground, but then a few pixels pop back up.  {Scott Stilphen}

BUG: When the hourglass runs out, you briefly see the title screen text appear where the hourglass is (picture #2).  Just before that, you’ll see a picture of the hourglass with the bottom completely full and there’s a slight graphics glitch on the right side of it (extra pixel that sticks out).  {Scott Stilphen}

BUG: You can accumulate more than 3 crosses in your inventory, but when you get the 4th (and every one after that, the icon onscreen for the 3rd cross disappears.

BUG: It’s possible to get stuck in a wall when moving between screens.  For example, when moving from the prison to the 2nd floor, if you run along the right side of the stairway (picture #3) as you exit, you’ll be stuck in the left side of the stairway on the 2nd floor (picture #4).  {Glen Sampson}

BUG: On the final screen, if you push Dracula up and keep the fire button pressed, Dracula will eventually wrap-around to the bottom of the screen and if you’re not careful, he’ll kill you!  You can also push your friend up and make them wrap-around to the bottom.  {Scott Stilphen}

BUG: The final bonus isn’t calculated correctly.  According to the manual, you’re supposed to receive 10k for every cross you have and 10k for every grain of sand you have left.  If you end the game with 1 grain of sand left and no crosses, you’ll receive 20k when you should only get 10k; 29 crosses and 1 grain gives 250k instead of 300k; 30 crosses and 1 grain gives 200k instead of 310k.  {Scott Stilphen}
