MERLIN'S WALLS

There are 16 different levels, plus a 17th ‘bonus’ level.  There’s actually only 4 different mazes that keep repeating.  Each time it repeats, a different type of special wall is added.  In the first 4 mazes, there are yellow ‘time unit’ walls that can be touched (via the fire button) to increase your remaining time.  The next 4 mazes include red ‘explosive’ walls that can be picked up.  If you face a wall and press the fire button, that section of the wall will be destroyed.  The next 4 mazes include blue walls that can be pushed back (using the fire button).  The last 4 mazes include brown walls that can be pulled towards you (hold the fire button down and move away from the wall to pull it).  A complete set of mazes can be found HERE, as well as a complete walkthrough (see video).

BUG: When the title screen appears, the "MERLIN's" graphics first appears at the bottom of the screen and wrap-around to the top (see picture).

BUG: If you dynamite an outer wall, you’ll be able to access the area outside of the maze, but the extra passages don’t lead anywhere or offer any special doors.  {John Harvey}

BUG: The 17th level doesn’t have an exit or any of the normal special walls.  The manual mentions, "At the end of the last level, Merlin will let you run in his personal wall, and you'll be free to go back to your life.  At the last level, Merlin will put you in the closed level.  When the time will be over, you'll be free of the Merlin's Walls.”  So this ‘closed’ level is the intended ending.  However, right behind you at the starting point is what looks like a yellow time unit wall.  If you pick it up, it’ll corrupt the entire maze.  {John K. Harvey}
