Frogger
• EASTER EGG: According to programmer Steve 'Byrd' Kranish, he had hidden his initials in the code, but when they were discovered during playtesting, management had them removed. From Steve Kranish: “On level 6 or 7 (I don’t remember which), when you jumped on the ‘lady frog’, the frog would change to my initials (BK). I don’t know if any cartridges with the Easter egg made it out the door, but they had someone remove it. This was not hard to do, because I had commented every line of code, which made it easy to find.”
• HIDDEN MESSAGE: “@1983 PARKERBROS B KRANISH” (for programmer Steve Kranish) can be found at the very end of the compiled code listing (picture #1). {Scott Stilphen}
• The 5200 version (picture #2) by Parker Brothers is a modified version of the 400/800 version by John Harris of Sierra (picture #3). The 5200 version has a 2-player option, improved graphics, and only 8k (no music during the game, only at the beginning of a level), compared to John’s.
• The joystick keypad can also be used to control the frog. Press 2 to move forward, 8 to move back, 4 to move left, and 6 to move right.
