• BUG: It’s possible to have more planes than should be allowed. There are 4 formations and each formation has 6 planes. If you shoot the first 3 formations and leave the 4th to initially appear and then later shoot them as they reappear from the center, you can sometimes get as many as 9 additional planes!
• BUG: The scoring doesn’t always work correctly. The following example occurs on every round, regardless of what variation is used or what the difficulty switches are set at. {Garrett Holland and Scott Stilphen}
When the satellites appear, the points for shooting a plane will be the same depending on how many satellites are on the screen; all 3 satellites means 500 points per plane, 2 satellites means planes are worth 1,000 points each, and 1 satellite means 1,500 points. When the satellites appear, only shoot 2 and leave the 3rd. At that point, the next plane you shoot will be worth 1,500 points and every plane after worth an additional 500 points more, up to 3,000! When you shoot the 6th plane, the score counter will become corrupt (see picture). Shooting the 7th plane reveals a 16,300 point difference between the 5th and 7th planes!
1st plane 1,500 = 9,300
2nd plane 2000 = 11,300
3rd plane 2500 = 13,800

6th plane ? = 2'600 (score counter becomes corrupt!)
7th plane 3000 = 36,100
If you can shoot the remaining satellite at this point before it flies off, you only get 1,000 instead of the 1,500 you’re supposed to. Once you either shoot the last satellite or it goes off the screen, there’s only a small window of a few seconds where you’ll still get big points for shooting planes. The values for them start again at 1,500 and go up 500 for each additional plane (2 mostly likely being the most you’ll get).
