SONAR
• The prototype contains some unused graphics, as well as some graphics from Adventure (picture #1). What appear to be "thin” or baby dragons are actually graphics for another character that Warren Robinett was experimenting with. From Warren: "What you are calling ‘thin dragons’ looks like an idea I implemented in an earlier version of Adventure, but then removed before release. I called it a ‘road runner’ (inspired by the Wile E Coyote cartoons). I implemented it with a 2-step running animation, using the 2 image frames shown. But I never was able to come up with a function for it, so I eventually deleted it; I think you would agree that the Bat was a much more interesting creature than a Road Runner (who ran around but didn't actually do anything). I am surprised that a version of Adventure containing the RoadRunner survived, but I am pretty sure that is what the ‘thin dragon’ is."
• The game doesn’t randomize the location of the battleships. They’re always in the same locations every time, and with every variation (picture #2).
