SUPER FOOTBALL

HIDDEN MESSAGE:N GUOD” (backwards for Doug Neubauer) can be found in the compiled code listing in 4 different places (f666, 1ff6, 2ff6, 3ff6).  {John Aycock}

It’s possible to run a kickoff or punt back for a touchdown, but it’s not possible every time, as sometimes the receiver will appear to run a bit slower.

If the clock runs out for the half as you’re scoring a touchdown or extra point, the clock remains at zero until the scoring team punts.

It’s possible to miss an extra point kick.  It’s rare (and completely random) but it happens.

When playing against the computer, if you’re winning by too much (at least 28 points), your player’s speed will be reduced!  This makes runbacks on kicks and punts impossible, and running any plays (offense or defense) much more challenging.  {Scott Stilphen}

BUG: If the clock runs out for the game as you’re scoring a touchdown or extra point, play will continue until the scoring team punts and that play ends, even though the game should be over.

BUG: If your team rolls the score, but the other team’s score appears higher, and your team kicks a field goal or extra point with time expiring, both teams will wave their hands (picture #1).  In the same situation, if the other team kicks a field goal or extra point with time, only the other team will wave their hands, even though your team really has the higher score.  In other words, the “victory wave” routine ignores rolled scores and only looks at the score shown on the screen.  {Scott Stilphen}

BUG: It’s possible for a player to briefly wrap-around the screen (picture #2).

BUG: When playing against the computer, when on offense, the computer’s deepest player will sometimes run off the field and then come back on (picture #3).
