Atari 2500

Bears some resemblance to the CX2000 prototypes.  Designed in 1982, possibly in Sunnyvale. 2 different-colored prototypes have been found - light gray and black. The built-in controllers appear identical to the CX2700s, although there's no hardware for them internally. Also, the motherboard is identical to the 2600A (except for the toggle switches), so it includes external controller ports for using other controllers!

The last photo shows what happens when rare items are given to people who are more concerned with making a buck instead of giving it to a real museum like The Strong to professionally archive and document.
